Guatemala Trip, 2018
A grateful family.
Giving a little girl a nebulizer treatment. Breathing is difficult here because of the air quality due to lots of burning of garbage and vehicle emissions.
A quick limbo competition.
Our pharmacy with patients waiting for their RXs.
Dr. Henley treating a family.
Dr. Charnock treating a family.
Just finished setting up what will be the pharmacy for the next few days.
Dr. Henley in front of a pharmacy we passed on our way.
From Left to Right: Sarah McCuin, Dr. Henley and Danielle King, getting ready for our walk to our makeshift clinic.
Women waiting for the women's group meeting we held.
Putting a bandage on a cut.
Day One in San Lucas Toliman after arriving in Guatemala City. It was late in the night and we spent the time getting ready for the week. Here we are doing medication inventory.
Any chance you get to step away from treating patients you play with the kids. Each day we picked someone (not always a child) to ask questions and to learn something. At the end of our conversation we would give them a tennis ball (pelota) with our name written on it.
Sweet faces!
A quick picture with some of the kiddos.
This little angel was waiting for one of us to pick her up. (We were waiting for her mom to come out to ask permission.)
Big smiles every time they see us.
